At Clarence we recognise the vital importance of children being able to socialise, play and learn together in a school setting. We have taken every precaution to ensure that the risk of infection and transmission is minimal and that our students can continue to attend school and have fun.

Enhanced safety measures

Above and beyond our standard COVID-19 measures, we have taken the following precautions:

In-person school tours have been cancelled and we now offer "virtual" tours of our school.

Music and Japanese is now taught online by our professional teachers and other external visitors to school have been cancelled.

High intensity sports lessons are all practised outside.

Water dispensers have been removed from school and replaced with bottled water distributed by teaching staff.

We will continue to learn outdoors and visit parks however we will not use park equipment.

Additionally, from this term onwards, please note that depending upon the circumstances, if the school deems a risk to the CIS community posed by individuals' actions, we reserve the right to exclude students, family members, and staff from the school until a negative test result is confirmed.

Online Learning

Although we are prepared to switch immediately and seamlessly to online learning, the value of pupils attending school cannot be underestimated. In the event that face-to-face tuition must be stopped we will ensure that there is minimum disruption to education. Staff are prepared to offer high quality, differentiated provision to continue the amazing progress that we are seeing to date.
